Treatment: Semi Permanent Make-up.
Powder Brows are the newest shading technique. This method creates pixilated dots that pepper the brow creating a soft natural powder look, filling in brows with a more detailed shape. This shadow technique is minimally invasive, lasts longer and can be light or dark. Ideal for any age group and any skin type – including oily skin. The brow will fade up to 40% after the first procedure, so this technique is done in two stages, 6 weeks apart when we colour boost the brow, topping up the pixels to give the best desired effect!
Powder Brows are a more defined shape and true colour from tail to bulb!
Lasts 12-18 months.
Procedure: 2-3hours.
Healing: 7 days.
Results: 4-6 weeks.
Colour Boost: 6 weeks later.
Powder Brows
Wake up every day with beautifully shaped, softly defined brows that suit your face and require far less daily maintenance.
Powder brows are a semi-permanent makeup treatment designed to create a smooth, shaded brow effect. The finished result can be soft and natural or more defined, depending on your personal style.
What Are Powder Brows?
Powder brows are created by gently implanting pigment into the upper layers of the skin using a specialist cosmetic tattoo machine.
Unlike microblading, which creates individual hair strokes, powder brows use soft shading to give the appearance of brows that have been lightly filled in with makeup.
The treatment can create:
A soft, natural powder finish
More defined and balanced brows
A subtle ombré effect
Fuller-looking brows
Improved shape and symmetry
Long-lasting everyday definition
The front of the brow can be kept lighter and softer, with gradually more colour and definition through the arch and tail.
Designed Especially for You
Every set of powder brows is individually designed.
Before treatment, Olivia will consider your:
Natural brow shape
Facial structure
Existing brow hair
Skin tone
Hair colour
Skin type
Preferred level of definition
Your brows will be carefully measured and mapped before any pigment is applied.
You will have the opportunity to review and approve the shape before the treatment begins.
The aim is not to create identical brows on every client. It is to create a flattering shape that works naturally with your own features.
Who Are Powder Brows Suitable For?
Powder brows may be ideal for clients who:
Have sparse or thinning brows
Have gaps in their brow hair
Have naturally pale or fine brows
Have over-plucked their brows
Want a more balanced brow shape
Find applying brow makeup difficult
Want to save time getting ready
Prefer a softly filled-in brow appearance
Have oily, combination or mature skin
Powder brows are suitable for many different skin types. They can often heal more evenly than hair-stroke techniques on oily, mature or porous skin.
Suitability will always be discussed during your consultation.
Natural or Defined Results
Powder brows do not have to look dark, heavy or block-like.
The intensity can be adjusted to suit you.
You may choose:
A very soft and natural finish
A light everyday makeup effect
A softly defined ombré brow
A fuller, more polished appearance
A stronger, more structured brow
The pigment will appear darker immediately after treatment, but it will soften considerably as the skin heals.
What Happens During the Appointment?
Your appointment will begin with a full consultation.
Olivia will discuss the look you would like to achieve and assess your natural brows, skin and colouring.
The brows will then be mapped carefully to create the proposed shape. Once you are happy with the design, a suitable pigment colour will be selected.
A topical numbing product is used to help keep you comfortable.
The pigment is then gently built up using a specialist machine to create a soft, even shaded effect.
The appointment usually takes approximately two to three hours, depending on the amount of work required.
Does the Treatment Hurt?
Most clients find the treatment manageable.
A topical numbing product is used to reduce discomfort. You may feel some light scratching, vibration or pressure during the procedure.
Sensitivity varies from person to person.
What Will My Brows Look Like Afterwards?
Immediately after treatment, the brows will appear darker, sharper and more defined than the healed result.
You may also experience mild:
Redness
Tenderness
Swelling
Dryness
Flaking
These effects are normally temporary.
As the brows heal, the colour will begin to soften. It is also normal for the pigment to appear lighter or slightly uneven during the healing process.
The final healed result should not be assessed until approximately four to six weeks after treatment.
The Healing Process
The brows usually go through several stages while healing.
During the first few days, they may look darker than expected. Light flaking or dryness may then develop.
As the skin continues to heal, the pigment may temporarily appear very light before becoming more visible again.
Do not pick, scratch or remove any dry skin, as this can affect pigment retention and the final result.
Full aftercare instructions will be provided following your appointment.
Perfecting Appointment
Powder brows are usually completed over two appointments.
A perfecting appointment is generally recommended around six to eight weeks after the initial treatment.
This appointment allows Olivia to:
Assess how the pigment has healed
Strengthen lighter areas
Improve pigment coverage
Refine the shape
Make small colour adjustments
Add further definition where required
The perfecting appointment is an important part of completing the treatment.
How Long Do Powder Brows Last?
Powder brows are semi-permanent and will gradually fade over time.
Results commonly last between one and three years, although this varies between clients.
The longevity of your brows may be affected by:
Skin type
Sun exposure
Lifestyle
Skincare products
Medication
Hormonal changes
Healing response
Aftercare
Pigment colour
A colour-boost appointment can be booked when the brows begin to fade or lose definition.
